Israel Retaliates with Attack on Yemen's Al Hudeida

The Israeli army carried out an attack on the Yemeni port of Al Hudeida in response to the missile launched from Yemen by the Houthis that fell at Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv. This is the first time Israel has attacked Yemen since its return to offensive actions in Gaza on March 18. During this period, the Houthis have launched several missiles at Israeli territory, most of which have been intercepted by Israel, except for the one this Sunday that left six wounded.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had announced that they would respond to the Houthi attack 'at the time and place' of their choosing and also 'to their Iranian terrorist masters.' Meanwhile, Iran's Foreign Ministry denied all accusations of being behind the Houthis' actions, calling them 'baseless' and 'deceptive,' and warned of the consequences of any aggression against them.

In light of the missile that fell in Ben Gurion, the Houthi rebels threatened to impose a 'global air blockade' on Israel through attacks on its airports, urging international airlines to cancel their flights to that destination 'to preserve the safety of their aircraft and passengers.'

In a screenshot taken from a video published by the Houthi television channel Al Masirah, firefighters are seen extinguishing a fire at a cement factory following Israeli airstrikes on Al Hudeida. Before these statements from the Houthis, several companies announced the suspension of their flights to Israel for 48 hours.
